Today, Holmegaard Værk is a creative hub where some of the most visionary artists and designers from around the world gather to create works that both honor the classic craft and challenge its boundaries. Through collaborations with artists such as Frida Fjellman, Maria Koshenkova and Hanna Hansdotter and designer Helle Mardahl, 'SPARK' explores the collaboration between glass workshop and artist.

SPARK presents a series of experimental works created in dialogue with internationally recognized glass artists and designers. Read more about the creative collaborations below and get a taste of what you can experience in the exhibition.
Helle Mardahl (b. 1976) is a Danish artist and designer whose work has evolved from avant-garde fashion to a full tableware series. With her organic forms and bold color palettes, she creates a playful aesthetic in her colorful, mouth-blown glass works. Mardahl's work has gained international recognition and can be found in homes and retailers around the world.
Frida Fjellman (b. 1971) is a Swedish artist and designer who revolves around the opulent, the sensitive and the transgressive in his works, inviting the viewer to experience space in new ways. Especially through his iconic chandeliers, where gem-like elements are scaled up to monumental dimensions.
Hanna Hansdotter (b. 1984) is a Swedish artist and glassblower who works to break expectations in glass art, balancing between the decorated and the organic bodily. With works presented in collections around the world, including the National Museum in Stockholm and Oslo and the Röhsska Museum in Gothenburg, she has achieved international recognition and received several awards for her work.
Maria Koshenkova (b. 1981) is a Russian artist who challenges the traditional perception of glass art with works that embody a raw, physical intensity. Her artistic process is characterized by experimental techniques, pushing both the material and herself to the limit, constantly exploring the boundaries between the beautiful and the grotesque, the fragile and the powerful.
On the occasion of Holmegaard's 200th anniversary in 2025, Holmegaard Værk presents the special exhibitions 'CELEBRATION' and 'SPARK'.
While 'SPARK' invites you to experience the Holmegaard Værk of today and tomorrow, 'CELEBRATION' takes you back in time to the big and small moments when Holmegaard glass has been a central part of Danish celebration culture.
Together, the exhibitions celebrate both Holmegaard's heritage and vision for the future.
