Reaching us with public transport
From Næstved railway station (Farimagsvej), you can take bus 602 to Fensmark. Get off at the bus stop Vibevej Fensmark (Glasværksvej) and there is less than 500 metres of fresh air to Holmegaard Værk.
Parking
If you come by car, you can park near the museum. The signs will show you the way. Please remember to purchase a parking ticket in the reception (remember license plate) or via the EasyPark app. Parking is 40 DKK. We have four parking bays in front of the main entrance which are reserved for our disabled guests.
Electric vehicles
For guests arriving at the museum in an electric vehicle we offer four parking bays with charging stations. The charging stations have been established in collaboration with Clever, so you can charge the car while you visit the museum, go for a walk in the bog or enjoy a lunch at Restaurant Holmegaard. Regular parking terms and conditions apply.
Accessibility
Walking-impaired or disabled guests are allowed to drive through the main gate and park right in front of the main entrance in our disabled bays. From here, there is direct access to the museum – no stairs or other inconvenient differences in level.
Inside, we have also thought of making it easy to move around into every exhibition for wheelchair users, walking-impaired and guests with baby carriages. You will find no high doorsteps or stairs to climb in order to have a good experience. All our exhibitions are on the same level – except the comprehensive Sample Collection with 40,000 glasses and our Stone Age exhibition that will require a short trip with an elevator.
In the reception hall there are disabled toilets and access to the café and the museum shop – not even here, our guests on wheels will find obstacles.
Accessibility with young children
All our exhibitions are accessible with baby carriages and strollers. Changing table is found in the disabled toilet in the reception hall.
Presentation
The stories at Holmegaard Værk are told in little sound stories, told by them who were at the works when it still produced and by our competent experts. When you purchase your ticket, you will receive a podcast guide that will tell you, which podcasts you can listen to in the different exhibitions. There are 17 podcasts of 5-15 minutes duration. If you do not manage to listen to them all during your visit at the museum – or you just want to listen to them again – you can take your podcast guide home and continue the experience.
You can use your own smartphone and headphones or buy a set of headphones for DKK 10. We have a number of smartphones you can borrow and use in the exhibition. If you want to borrow a phone, please remember a passport or driver's licence for identification. Your passport or driver's licence will be kept by Holmegaard Værk as deposit, while you use the borrowed smartphone in the exhibition.
Holmegaard Værk offers wireless network to download the podcasts. You can hear them in Danish or English.
Shop
In our well-stocked museum shop, you can indulge your desire for ceramics, mouth blown glass and merchandise. Buy yourself a souvenir or presents for the entire family. You can purchase glass from Holmegaard, ceramics from Kähler and selected homeware from Rosendahl Design Group. You can even purchase a unique piece of art glass from our residing artists who have their art produced here, at Holmegaard Værk. Besides that, you can buy books and posters.
The opening times for the museums shop are the same as for Holmegaard Værk.
Food and drink
A good museum experience has to bring all senses into play. This is why we have ensured food and drink for every taste. In our café, you can buy freshly brewed coffee, delicious sandwiches and exquisite desserts. If the experience may last a little longer, you can book a table in our restaurant with beautifully served open sandwiches – the famous Danish "smørrebrød".
Dogs
Only guide dogs and service dogs are allowed at Holmegaard Værk. Please remember to pick up their droppings.

If you think, you may have left something at the museum, please call our main telephone number +45 70 70 12 36. Maybe it has turned up.
