MØN LOCAL ARCHIVE
Møns Lokalarkiv is an integrated part of Møns Museum and contains the history of the people, associations, businesses and everyday life on Møn. Here we preserve the written traces that shape the local identity: letters, accounts, protocols, photos, memories and much more. All collected to ensure that Møn's history is not only preserved, but can also be retold and explored by new generations.
A team of dedicated volunteers is continuously working to digitally register the archival materials, making the collection increasingly accessible. Many materials can already be searched via arkiv.dk – and even more will be added.
Møn's Local Archives are open during the museum's opening hours. You are free to use the reading room and the newspaper archive, which is located in the archive's attic.
You can find the archive by going into the museum's courtyard and to the wing facing the moat.
