BOOK YOUR OWN TOUR
At the Viking Fortress Borgring you have the option of booking your own tour. Here you can choose between an introduction to the exhibition in the Royal Hall, the UNESCO Hall and the View or an outdoor tour of Borgring.

Introduction to the exhibitions
In this introduction, we provide a brief overview of the exhibitions inside the museum and the historical backdrop: The transition from Nordic religion to Christianity in the time of Harald Bluetooth.
Based on objects and stories, we invite reflection on what faith and change meant to people in the Viking Age – and what role the ringforts played in that development.
Duration: Approximately 45 min
Guided tour of Borgring
Join us on a guided tour around Borgring and hear about how archaeologists in 2014 found the remains of one of Harald Bluetooth's ring castles in Lellinge, just outside Køge.
On the tour we will talk about the castle's function in the Viking Age, its special location - and the historical context in which Denmark was moving from belief in the Norse gods to Christianity.
We take a closer look at the castle's archaeology and talk about what it can tell us about Viking society and kingship.
