In this introduction we will briefly go thro9ugh the exhibit in the King's Hall and its historical background: the change from the old nordic religion to Christianity in the age of Harald Bluetooth.
With a basis in finds and stories, we will encourage reflection about what faith and change meant for people in the Viking Era - and what role the ringed fortresses played in this development.
Duration: 45 min.
Price: DKK 500 per class
Come on a guided tour around Borgring, and hear how archaeologists found the remains of one of Harald Bluetooth's ringed fortresses just outside Køge in 2014.
On the tour we will tell you about the function of the fortress in the Viking Era, its special location - and the historical context of Denmark's shift from the old nordic gods to Christianity.
We will have a closer look at the archaeology of the fortress and discuss what it can tell us about viking society and the power of kings.
Duration: approx. 1 hour
Price: DKK 500 per class
