Walk in the footsteps of Harald Bluetooth and one of the most defining moments in Danish history - the transition from Heathenry to Christianity.
In the King's Hall you step into one of the most defining moments in Danish history.
Around the year 963, King Harald Bluetooth decided that the Danes should be Christian. Shortly afterwards, he built the monumental ringed fortresses, and on the Jelling Stone he had the words carved: Harald united Denmark and made the Danes Christian.
Ahead went centuries of belief in Thor, Odin, and the other gods and other beings from the diverse universe of the Aesir. A belief borne of rituals, sacrificial feasts and ancient traditions. Now a new god breaks through from the south: Christ.
Journey to a time when one faith replaced another. Where generations' worldview dissolves – and a new one is born. And where power, faith and politics merge in the decision that changed Denmark forever.
