BOOK YOUR OWN TOUR
At Denmark's Castle Center you have the opportunity to book your own tour. Here our inspiring guides will give you an engaging tour of the castle grounds and/or an introduction to our current exhibitions.
After the tour, you have the opportunity to go to the top of the Goose Tower, where you will be able to enjoy the beautiful view over the water and look all the way to Møn.

Introduction to current exhibitions
In this introduction, we take you into the dramatic universe of the Middle Ages, where kings and queens set the course for Denmark's history. Here you will encounter both the intrigues of power, war and the small moments of everyday life through unique finds, jewelry, weapons and stories. The introduction gives you a vivid insight into the museum's current exhibitions, before you go exploring the treasures of the past yourself.
Duration: Approximately 45 minutes.
Guided tour of the Castle
Join us on a guided tour through Vordingborg's mighty castle and its 500-year history. Here you will get answers to everything from the symbolism of the goose to the king's daily life - and a look into both the heyday and dramatic downturns. With exciting anecdotes and little quirks, the guide brings the castle's many historical layers to life in a whole new way.
Duration: Approximately 1 hour.
City walk in Vordingborg
Experience Vordingborg's streets and squares with history as your companion. The tour takes you to the city's most important places where the Valdemars left their clear mark - from Slotstorvet to Algade and Lilletorv. Along the way, the guide unfolds the city's hidden stories and gives you a unique insight into how medieval structures and symbols still characterize Vordingborg today.
