PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Free admission for under 18s

Visitors under 18 always have free admission when accompanied by an adult.

Strollers and prams

The Danish Castle Centre is committed to accessibility. The exhibition building and shop are fully accessible for wheelchairs and prams, and the two floors are connected by a lift.

Gravel paths at the castle ruins make it easier to get around the protected site.

Please note that there is no lift in the Goose Tower.

Food and drinks

The Danish Castle Centre has a cosy café located in the protected yellow staff building – the last remaining part of Prince George’s palace, built on the castle grounds in 1673.

In spring and autumn, you can buy coffee, cake and cold drinks at the museum ticket desk and enjoy them in the cosy café area – or outside, weather permitting. During the high season, the café is staffed and offers, in addition to coffee and cake, light meals and snacks.
If you are looking for a larger lunch, we are happy to recommend the many cafés and restaurants in town.

The café follows the museum’s opening hours. Table reservations are not available.
Food and drinks brought from outside may not be consumed inside the museum, but can be enjoyed in the historic surroundings of the castle grounds.”

Toilets and baby changing facilities

Toilets are located behind the ticket desk at the entrance and include baby changing facilities.

The toilets are open to the public.
