In the Middle Ages, Vordingborg was a centre of power – home to some of the most influential kings and queens in Danish history.

Look forward to meeting the queens Margrete 1st, Bengerd, Dagmar, Margrete Sprænghest and Sofia of Minsk and others, who all had their time at the castle in Vordingborg, through a series of strong portraits, staged by Jim Lyngvild, with inspiration drawn from the museum's archaeological and historical knowledge, Saxo's descriptions, other chronicles and motifs and depictions from the Middle Ages.
