Experience 175 km of hiking joy through Møn, Nyord and Bogø. Nature, stories and quiet moments await you.
Welcome to the Camøno – a 175-kilometer long hiking route through some of Denmark's most magical nature. Here, approximately 250,000 steps await you across three islands: Møn, Nyord and Bogø. You walk through the land of the King of the Cliffs and past luminous chalk cliffs, on soft paths in the primeval forest, into the deep darkness of the barrows, along beaches and open fields, and under a starry sky so clear that the Dark Sky area on Møn has become famous far beyond the country's borders.
The Camøno was created as a hiking route where everyone can join in. It is for those who want calm, contemplation and encounters with nature – and for those who seek stories, cultural heritage and local communities along the way. The route connects the islands' landscapes, people, stories and experiences in one long, continuous route.
The Camøno was created in collaboration between local enthusiasts, the Museum of Southeast Denmark and Vordingborg Municipality, with the goal of giving both visitors and residents a new way to experience the islands' special identity. The result is a hiking route that not only showcases the landscape, but also connects local communities – from small harbors and villages to natural sites and cultural-historical locations.
And most importantly: the Camøno is for everyone. The route includes both long, challenging stretches and small sections at a leisurely pace. In several places there are accessible routes and alternatives for those who have difficulty walking or simply want an easier stage.
Here you go at the speed of life – and you decide for yourself how far you want to go and what you want to discover.
Yes. However, some accommodations are seasonal, so always check opening hours or call in advance.
All stages begin at a Camøno Pause and end at the next.
You can easily find them on the Camøno map, where water stops, shelters, campfire sites, toilets and facilities are also marked.
The Camøno Pass is your personal travel journal. At each rest stop you can put a stamp in it so you always remember where you have been.
The pass can be ordered in the Camøno shop or purchased physically at Møn's Museum.
You can do that in the Camøno shop.
Here you will also find the Camøno's own products, patches and the popular Camøno Ambassador pin. The physical shop at Møn's Museum also sells outdoor equipment from, among others, Sea to Summit.
A golden pin with the Camøno logo, showing that you hike with respect for nature and the locals.
Your purchase directly supports the Camøno's Partner Fund, which distributes funds to projects that create value for both hikers and islanders.
