ACCOMMODATION

Camønoen offers many types of accommodation – from B&Bs and hotels to shelters and tent sites. Here you will find answers to the most common questions, so you can easily choose the place that suits your trip.

ACCOMMODATION ON CAMØNOEN

Along Camønoen's 175 kilometers you'll find a wealth of accommodation options – from primitive shelters and tent sites to cozy B&Bs, farm stays, glamping, apartments and small hotels. Many places are located directly on the route or a few hundred meters away, so you can hike easily and settle down when you feel tired.

Each stage has its own options, and we have collected them in a clear overview so that you can quickly find a place that suits your temperament: do you want to sleep under the starry sky, wake up in an old farm, stay close to the sea or spend the night in the middle of Stege's city life?

Several accommodations are Camøno partners – people who love the island and welcome hikers with open arms, good advice and a hot meal. Remember to book well in advance during the high season, as places fill up quickly.

When you're ready to plan your route, you can open the overview under each stage and find exactly the places that are on your way.

FAQ — ACCOMMODATION ON CAMØNOEN

Do I need to book accommodation in advance?

Are there free accommodation options?

Yes, several shelters along the route offer free accommodation , often on a first-come, first-served basis.

Examples: Hårbølle Shelter, MØNHYTTEN Shelter site and several nature sites.

Can I pitch a tent anywhere?

No. Camping is only allowed in places that explicitly allow it, such as MØNHYTTEN or Vilde Rosers have. Always follow local rules and be considerate of the landowners.

Are there accommodations near the route?

Yes – all accommodations in our overview are located on or close to the stages of Camønoen. You can see them distributed in the accordion under each stage.

Can I spend the night at Møns Museum?

Yes. The museum's unique city shelters give you the opportunity to sleep in the middle of Stege in the coziest surroundings. It's simple, cheap and very popular among Camønovandrere.

Are there disabled-friendly accommodations?

Yes. Several places offer good access and comfortable rooms. The disability-friendly Camøno card shows relevant points and can be purchased in the Camønoshoppen.

Can I buy food where I'm staying?

Many accommodations offer breakfast, packed lunches or dinner. See the individual location descriptions for details.

Can I charge electronics along the way?

Yes. Almost all B&Bs and farm stays offer charging, and several Camønopauses have electricity. Shelters rarely have electricity.

Are there bathrooms and toilets on the route?

Most accommodations have indoor facilities, while shelters and primitive sites may have a compost toilet and outdoor shower. Check the descriptions for each location.

Can I stay overnight with a dog?

Some places welcome dogs, others don't - see the contact information under each accommodation or contact the hosts directly.
