CURRENT TEACHING COURSES

WORTH KNOWING BEFORE YOUR VISIT

How do we book a training course?

All courses can be booked by writing to undervisning@museerne.dk.

Write which school you come from, which course you want, number of students, and date and time. You will receive a confirmation and a follow-up email with practical information when your request is accepted.

Can we visit the museum without booking a course?

Yes, but we recommend that you let us know in advance if you are coming as a larger group. This way we can ensure that there is plenty of space in the exhibitions and that other activities do not affect your visit.

What do we do if we have students with special needs?

We want to be a museum for everyone.

Please let us know about the students' needs when booking - e.g. motor challenges, need for breaks, support for communication, sensory considerations, etc. Together we will assess how to best adapt the visit.

Do students have to wear any special clothing?

Yes, for workshops we recommend practical clothing that can get dirty.

For outdoor activities: remember to dress appropriately for the weather and wear good shoes.

Can we eat packed lunches at the museum?

Yes. Holmegaard Værk has an outdoor lunch box where the class can eat. Please ask when booking so we can guide you to the most suitable place.

Is there a place to store bags and outerwear?

Yes, the museum has areas for storage. For larger groups, we recommend collecting items in shared boxes/bags.

What if we are late?

Contact the museum as soon as possible. We will adjust the process as best as possible, but in case of major delays, some parts may be omitted out of consideration for other bookings.

Can two classes come at the same time?

Yes, on several courses, two classes can participate simultaneously. It just requires that there are enough teachers involved – and that the course is suitable for double capacity. Please ask us.

Where can we park buses?

Holmegaard Værk has both bus parking and a dedicated drop-off area. We will send you the specific information when booking.

Are students allowed to tour the museum on their own?

As a general rule, we expect teachers and educators to be present and responsible throughout the visit. Independent discovery can be part of the process, but always by agreement with the teacher.

What if we have to cancel?

Contact us as soon as possible. Cancellations must generally be made no later than 48 hours before the visit. Later cancellations may be invoiced, unless there is a case of force majeure.

Is the museum accessible to disabled people?

Holmegaard Værk is wheelchair accessible and we offer flexible schedules. Just let us know about any special needs when booking so we can ensure a great experience.

Can we combine the course with a regular museum visit?

Yes, you are welcome to do so. Many teachers choose to let their students explore the exhibitions before or after the actual teaching session.
