A REFLECTION OF THE MUSEUM'S CURRENT SPECIAL EXHIBITIONS

Explore a curated selection of products inspired by the museum’s current special exhibitions. Previous highlights have ranged from contemporary glass series by Jim Lyngvild – drawing on Holmegaard’s rich glass collection – to Picasso textiles and sculptures by Louise Hindsgavl.

As the special exhibitions change each year and are only on display for limited periods, so too is the associated selection in the design shop.

For practical reasons, the first workers’ homes were built right next to the glassworks. The workforce was largely made up of foreign glassmakers who had limited interaction with the local community. Over time, a small, self-contained society emerged in the moor, with its own inn, shop, school and active community life.

PLAYFUL DESIGN FINDS FOR CHILDREN

Design and craftsmanship are for children too. In the design shop at Holmegaard Works of Wonders, you’ll find a carefully curated selection for children and the young at heart. Discover glass figures and toys in playful shapes and colours that brighten any child’s room – designs that spark imagination without compromising on aesthetics.

When you visit Holmegaard Works of Wonders, you have free access to the design shop, and children under 18 enjoy free admission to the museum.
