All our exhibitions are accessible with prams and strollers, and you can therefore move freely in the museum with both during your visit.
Only guide and service dogs are allowed at Holmegaard Værk. Remember to pick up any litter.
Guests with walking difficulties or disabilities can drive through the gate and park right in front of the main entrance in our disabled parking spaces. From here, there is direct access to the museum – without stairs or other inconvenient differences in level.
Inside, we have of course also thought about making it easy for wheelchair users, people with walking difficulties and guests with strollers to get around all the exhibitions. That is why there are no high steps or stairs that need to be climbed to have a good experience. Most of our exhibitions are at the same level – except for our large sample collection with 40,000 glasses and our Stone Age exhibition, which requires a short trip in a lift.
In the arrivals hall there are disabled toilets as well as access to the café and museum shop – we have not placed obstacles for four-wheelers here either.
The stories at Holmegaard Værk are told as short audio stories by those who were at the works when it was still producing, as well as by our skilled professional staff. When you buy a ticket, you will be given a podcast guide that tells you which podcasts you can listen to in the exhibition in question. There are 17 podcasts, each 5-15 minutes long. If you don't have time to listen to them all on site – or feel like listening to them again – you can take the podcast guide home and continue the experience.
You can use your own phone and headphones or buy a set of headphones for 10 kr. We have a number of loan phones that you can take around the exhibition. If you need to borrow a phone, remember to bring your passport or driver's license as identification. Your passport or driver's license will be kept by Holmegaard Værk as a deposit while you have the loan phone around the exhibition.
Holmegaard Værk offers a wireless network for downloading podcasts. You can choose to listen to them in Danish or English.
In the basement you have the opportunity to hang jackets, outerwear and bags free of charge. Please note that the cloakroom is unmanned and you use it at your own risk.
Toilets are located in the museum's arrival area, where there is also access to a baby changing area. Our toilets are free for all visitors.
Smoking is not permitted in Holmegaard Værk's indoor areas. Smoking is permitted outside, but please be considerate of other visitors - and of course remember that waste must be placed in the provided bins.
You may take all the pictures you want for private use and your social media. However, photography, video and the like for commercial use may only be done after prior agreement with the museum.
