Bjørn Magnussen, Artist — 'Recipient'
The sculpture with the poetic name 'Recipient' was created by artist Bjørn Magnussen. The work symbolizes intuition, which is central to the artist's own life and work, and which has been an all-important primordial force since the dawn of time.
Among other things, here in Holmegaard Mose, where humans have lived by and with nature for 10,000 years. Here, the inherent intuition has meant the difference between life and death for those who have lived and hunted here since the Stone Age.
With the work 'Receiver', Bjørn Magnussen insistently invites you to enter the swamp with openness and curiosity and for a moment forget everything you think you know.
As part of the route 'The inspiring bog', you can hear Bjørn Magnussen talk about the work on the 10-meter-high work 'Receiver', which is created from oak, glass and a marble base.
Good thing you came, hunter - we need your help! Evil forces are loose in the swamp.
We have observed six different animals that have returned from the Stone Age. They have gone mad from time travel, and they are attacking everything and everyone. The peace in the swamp has been broken. Get ready to fight the evil. But be careful! The animals are cunning, and lie in wait everywhere and attack when you least expect it.
Wherever the animals are hiding, you must track them down and send them back to the Stone Age. But the animals will do everything they can to ruin your equipment and avoid being caught.
If they succeed, both the bog and the people are in great danger! We trust you!
