RE CIEV ER

I have created a receiver to bring the spiritual and intuitive into our society. We need a place where we can go and simply receive.

Bjørn Magnussen, Artist — 'Reciever'

RECEIVER BY BJØRN MAGNUSSEN

The sculpture with the poetic title Modtager is created by artist Bjørn Magnussen. The work symbolises intuition, which is central to the artist’s life and practice, and which has been a fundamental force since the dawn of time.

This is especially true here in Holmegaard Bog, where for more than 10,000 years humans have lived in close connection with nature. Here, innate intuition could mean the difference between life and death for those who lived and hunted in the area since the Stone Age.

With Modtager, Bjørn Magnussen invites you – insistently – to enter the bog with openness and curiosity, and for a moment let go of everything you think you know.

As part of the route The Inspiring Bog, you can hear Bjørn Magnussen talk about the creation of the 10-metre-high sculpture Modtager, made from oak, glass and set on a base of marble.

BEAST HUNT — STONE AGE HUNT IN HOLMEGAARD BOG

Good thing you’re here, hunter – we need your help! Dark forces are loose in the bog.

We have spotted six different creatures that have returned from the Stone Age. The journey through time has driven them wild, and they attack anything and anyone. The peace of the bog is broken. Prepare yourself to fight the evil. But beware – the creatures are cunning. They lurk everywhere and strike when you least expect it.

Wherever they hide, you must track them down and send them back to the Stone Age. But the creatures will do everything they can to sabotage your equipment and avoid being captured.

If they succeed, both the bog and its people are in great danger. We’re counting on you!
