Displayed on shelves rising an impressive seven metres high and stretching 40 metres across, you come face to face with 200 years of history – told in glass.
This collection, one of the largest and most significant in the Nordic region, holds more than 42,000 unique pieces of glass, including some of Holmegaard Glassworks’ greatest treasures. Here you’ll find first editions and prototypes of everything from the Provence bowl to the Lotus candlestick, as well as extraordinary one-of-a-kind works by some of the most renowned artists.
The collection includes glass from Holmegaard, Kastrup, Odense/Fyens and Hellerup glassworks. For the first time, these pieces are presented together – and, for most of them, in the very place where they were created.
Holmegaard Works of Wonders’ remarkable glass collection functions as an open storage display, allowing you to experience the full scale of the museum’s collection – not just selected highlights.
