It began with ceramics without any finer details – baking tins, milk jugs, jam jars and other unpretentious kitchenware. But as creative minds became associated with Kähler's workshop in Næstved, art crept into the ceramics.
Tiles, vases, jars, everyday objects, reliefs, everything that can be made from clay, were produced at the pottery, which gradually grew larger. At Holmegaard Værk we have made room for Museum Sydøstdanmark's collection of Kähler ceramics, which contains more than 6,000 ceramic objects and continues to expand. For the first time, you will be able to see them together.
Holmegaard Værk's impressive Kähler collection functions as an open magazine. This means that as a guest you are allowed to experience the museum's entire spectacular collection - and not just selected exhibits.
