It began with unpretentious ceramics – baking dishes, milk bowls, preserves jars and other simple kitchenware. But as creative minds joined Kähler’s workshop in Næstved, art gradually found its way into the craft.
Tiles, vases, jars, everyday objects and reliefs – everything that could be made from clay – was produced at the pottery, which steadily grew over time. At Holmegaard Works of Wonder, we have made space for the Museum of Southeast Denmark’s collection of Kähler ceramics, comprising more than 6,000 objects and still expanding. Here, for the first time, you can experience the collection presented together.
Holmegaard Works of Wonder's remarkable Kähler collection functions as an open storage display, allowing you to explore the full scope of the museum’s collection – not just selected highlights.
