WORTH KNOWING BEFORE YOUR VISIT

Do children have to pay entrance fee?

No, children and young people under the age of 18 always have free admission to the museum when accompanied by an adult.

Do I have to pay an entrance fee to visit the museum garden?

No, you do not require an entrance ticket or annual pass to Køge Museum to visit the museum garden or the ship playground.

What payment options are available?

At the museum's reception, which covers ticket sales and the shop, you can pay in cash and with standard payment cards.

Can I bring my own food?

Food and drinks brought in may not be enjoyed inside the museum, but may be enjoyed in our cozy museum garden. It is possible to buy both cold and hot drinks in the museum shop. If you have an annual pass, you always get a 10% discount on drinks as well as on shop items.

What do I do with a stroller and pram?

Køge Museum is located in a more than 400-year-old, listed building. So unfortunately we are not able to make it particularly accessible for you with a stroller or pram. However, you can park your stroller or pram close to the reception, at your own risk. Please note that there are differences in level and stairs in the exhibition and that the building does not have an elevator.

Can I bring my dog?

For safety reasons, pets are not allowed at Køge Museum. Guide dogs are of course exempt.

AVAILABILITY

Køge Museum is located in a more than 400-year-old, listed building. So unfortunately we do not have the possibility to make it particularly handicap-friendly. Please note that there are differences in level and stairs in the exhibition and that the building does not have an elevator.

Toilets are located in the museum's arrival area, where there is also access to a changing area . Our toilet is free for all visitors to the museum and the playground. There are also public toilets in the neighboring building, Nørregade 2.

There is a defibrillator in the reception of Køge Museum. The defibrillator is available during the museum's opening hours. In the gate to the town hall next to Køge Museum there is a defibrillator that is available 24 hours a day.

What do I do with outerwear and bags?

There are locked lockers at the entrance. They are free to use and free of charge. However, there are only a small number of lockers available.

Where can I find the toilets?

Toilets are located in the museum's arrival area, where there is also access to a baby changing area. Our toilets are free for all visitors to the museum and playground.

Is smoking allowed in the museum?

Smoking is not allowed at Køge Museum. Smoking is allowed outside, but as we have many children on our playground, we hope you will be considerate of them and the other visitors.

Can I take pictures in the museum?

You may take all the photos you want for private use as well as for your social media. However, photography, video and the like for commercial use may only be done after prior agreement with us.
